Blind Assessment
Richly and sweetly acidy coffee with delicate complexity and depth. Cherryish fruit and nut notes in the aroma carry into the cup, with the fruit taking on a Riesling-like tart sweetness. Clean, crisp finish.
Notes
A Mocha-Java blend without the Java. This interesting if unorthodox blend combines two "natural" or dried-in-the-fruit coffees, a "Mocha" from Yemen and a Harrar from eastern Ethiopia with a second Ethiopia, a delicately bright "washed" or wet-processed coffee from the southern Yirgacheffe region. The Roasterie is a leading, quality-oriented specialty roaster that specializes in building ongoing relationships with growers and emphasizes its commitment to "air roasting," a technology utilizing a column of hot air rather than the conventional turning drum to agitate the roasting beans. Who Should Drink It
An unusual cup, cleanly bright with hints of a deeper, wilder fruit.
