Blind Assessment
A lush complex of night flowers and fruit-toned cocoa dominates aroma and cup. Deepening hints of earth and aromatic wood in the cup. Round, balanced acidity, silky mouthfeel. Fades a bit in the finish.
Notes
This moderately dark-roasted blend, based on the traditional Mocha-Java formula, consists of entirely of coffees certified organically grown and Fair Trade, meaning they were purchased from small-holding farmers at a "fair" or economically sustainable price. It combines a traditionally processed Sumatra in place of the Java, and replaces the original Yemen Mocha component of the blend with a similar "natural" or dried-in-the-fruit coffee from southern Ethiopia. One Village Coffee is a specialty roaster based in western Pennsylvania with wholesale distribution throughout the surrounding states as well as Internet retail. Visit
Who Should Drink It
Deep floral and apricotish cocoa notes in an unusual organic- and Fair-Trade-certified version of the traditional Mocha-Java formula.
