Blind Assessment
Sweet-toned, soft aroma: moist pipe tobacco, molasses, flowers. In the cup delicate yet rich acidity, very silky mouthfeel, floral, lemon and apricot notes. The flavor constellation settles toward chocolate in a sweet, very rich finish.
Notes
The best Zambia coffees typically display a round and softly balanced version of the East/Central Africa profile, with the Africa floral and citrus/berry notes subdued but still distinct. The Roasterie is a leading, quality-oriented specialty roaster that emphasizes its commitment to "air roasting," a technology utilizing a column of hot air rather than the conventional turning drum to agitate the roasting beans. Who Should Drink It
Just enough Africa in this graceful coffee to move it from simply balanced to quietly distinctive.
