Blind Assessment
Rich aroma, with round notes of bittersweet dark chocolate and nut. In the cup a sweeter, orange-toned chocolate emerges, becoming more pronounced as the cup cools. Softly astringent finish with hints of fruit and a mildly bitterish nut.
Notes
Certified organically grown and Fair-Trade, meaning this coffee was purchased from small-holding farmers at a "fair" or economically sustainable price. Decaffeinated using a water-only method that does not involve use of a solvent. The sale of this coffee directly supports The Arbor Day Foundation's Rain Forest Rescue Program, an initiative that the Foundation indicates has already saved nearly two billion square feet of rain forest. Who Should Drink It
Some of the sensory paradox of bitter orange peel dipped in dark chocolate animates this Fair-Trade and organic certified blend.
