Sweet-toned, round, deep. Roasted nut, grapy fruit, dark chocolate, a brightening hint of lemon. Soft, muted acidity; syrupy mouthfeel; smooth finish.
Notes
This coffee is certified organically grown and Fair Trade, meaning it was purchased from small-holding farmers at a "fair" or economically sustainable price. Flor de Jinotega is grown in the mountains above the regional capital Jinotega by the farmers of SOPPEXCCA Coop under the protective shade of bananas, mangos, and mahogany, and adjoining dense forests providing home to rare orchids and winter habitat for migratory songbirds. One of the country's pioneering socially and environmentally progressive roasters, Thanksgiving aimed to combine coffee quality with social and environmental responsibility many years before the latter preoccupations became fashionable. Who Should Drink It
Those who prefer quiet depth to bright acidity with a bonus of impressive social and environmental credentials.
