Blind Assessment

Deep, sweet-toned aroma: dark chocolate, rich cedar, apricot-like fruit, lily-like flowers. Rich though slightly rough acidity; impressively full, syrupy mouthfeel. The complex aromatics simplify a bit in the cup, but retain depth and resonance. Long though rather dry and piney finish.

Notes

Grown in the Guji Zone of Sidama Province, this Ethiopian coffee is a dry- or "natural-" processed coffee, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit was removed, as is the case with wet-processed or "washed" coffees. This coffee won first place at the Ethiopia Taste of Harvest Competition in 2010.BeanFruit Coffee Company is a Flowood, Mississippi based roaster whose motto is: coffee.character.cause. Who Should Drink It

A dried-in-the-fruit coffee with rugged presence and big body that should please those who enjoy slightly edgy spirits: peaty single malts, the more rustic tequilas.
