Blind Assessment
Crisply lush with floral notes of startling complexity. Ripe lemon, cocoa, moist pipe tobacco, and floral notes that range from dry lavender through a spicy rose to a heavy-scented honeysuckle. Balanced acidity; buoyant, silky mouthfeel. Rich, deep, flower-saturated finish.
Notes
Produced from trees of the rare Ethiopia-derived botanical variety Geisha (also spelled Gesha). With its generally elongated beans and distinctive floral and chocolate cup, the Geisha variety continues to distinguish itself as one of the world's most unique coffees. Geisha was planted on the Granja La Esperanza farm as part of a ten year project to improve coffee quality and to introduce new botanical varietals grown in Colombia. Equator is a specialty roaster based in the San Francisco Bay Area driven by “passion for quality and sustainability.” Visit www.equatorcoffees.com or call 800-809-7687 for more information.
Who Should Drink It
An exceptional, explosively floral version of the rare and celebrated Geisha profile.
