Blind Assessment
Superb aromatics and flavor: A rich, fudgy chocolate sensation dominates, with flowers, vanilla, hints of brandy and tart, guava-like fruit. Round, crisp acidity; dense, full mouthfeel. The finish is very sweet and vanilla-laced in the short, though in the long it fades toward astringency.
Notes
This is a dry-processed or "natural" coffee, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit has been removed, as is the case with wet-processed or "washed" coffees. Based in the San Diego area, Bird Rock Coffee Roasters is a retailer and wholesaler that focuses on organic and socially responsible coffees. Who Should Drink It
Impressively rich and complexly chocolate-toned variation on the dried-in-the-fruit Ethiopia cup.
