Blind Assessment
Sweetly crisp, gentle. Fresh-cut cedar, molasses-influenced dark chocolate and a hint of flowers in aroma and cup. Roundly soft acidity; lightish but supple mouthfeel. Cleanly sweet finish.
Notes
Mocha Java is the world’s earliest blend. It combined the only two coffees available in the world in the 17th century: “Mocha” from Yemen and Java from the Dutch colony in what is now Indonesia. Today versions of the Mocha Java blend often substitute an Ethiopia coffee for the Yemen and a Sumatra coffee for the Java. Green Mountain Coffee Roasters is one of the country's leading specialty roasters, offering a particularly wide-ranging variety of origins and roast styles.
