Blind Assessment
Intense lime-toned citrus, lush flowers, nut-toned chocolate, peach in aroma and cup. Gently tart acidity; silky mouthfeel. Chocolate and lime carry into a sweet-toned finish.
Notes
This coffee, from the Yirgacheffe growing region, was purchased directly from the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union, a collection of cooperatives with a total of nearly 45,000 active members, rather than through the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange (ECX). Yirgacheffe coffees like this one processed by the wet or washed method (fruit skin and pulp is removed before drying) typically express great aromatic complexity and intensity with a particular emphasis on citrus and floral notes. Coffea Roasterie is a South Dakota-based wholesale and retail roaster, offering a small but refined selection of mostly single-origin coffees. Visit
Who Should Drink It
A fine variation on the classic washed Yirgacheffe profile, with exhilarating lime and lush floral notes.
