Blind Assessment
Sweetly and deeply pungent. Honey, grapefruit, cacao nib, Brazil nut, a hint of fine leaf tobacco in aroma and cup. Briskly but pleasantly bittersweet acidity; silky mouthfeel. Flavor consolidates and simplifies in an otherwise impressive finish: rich, deep, long.
Notes
This coffee originates from the Toarco (TOraja ARabica COffee) project in the famous Sulawesi coffee growing region of Toraja, a project developed and financed by Japan's Key Coffee Company and its Indonesian partners. Until recently Toarco sold its entire production to the Japanese market, making this coffee rare in the United States. Blueprint Coffee is a one-location roastery-café in St. Louis, Missouri that aims at producing a small number of flawless and distinctive coffees. Who Should Drink It
A gently bittersweet bite (honey on grapefruit) deepens and grounds the subtle complexities of this silky, quietly original profile.
