Blind Assessment
Immense and lavish. Blueberry, guava, dark chocolate, a hint of cognac, musky, carnal flowers in aroma and cup. Richly pungent acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Guava and chocolate in particular carry into a mildly drying but deeply flavor-saturated finish.
Notes
A spectacularly fruit-toned but unusually refined example of a dry-processed or "natural" coffee, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit has been removed, as is the case with wet-processed or "washed" coffees. Caffe Luxxe is an Italian-inflected artisan roaster and retailer that emphasizes both its coffee knowledge and precision and its straightforward lack of pretension. Who Should Drink It
Straightforward structure is lifted by extraordinary aromatic depth and complexity from nose to finish.
