Blind Assessment
Delicate but grandly and exhilaratingly aromatic. Sweet narcissus-like flowers, sandalwood, dark chocolate, orange marmalade in aroma and cup. Crisp, balanced acidity; plush, buoyant mouthfeel. Flavor consolidates but deepens in a long, richly drying finish.
Notes
Yirgacheffe is a coffee region in southern Ethiopia that produces distinctively floral- and fruit-toned coffees from traditional varieties of Arabica long grown in the region. Yirgacheffe coffees like this one processed by the wet or washed method (fruit skin and pulp is removed before drying) typically express great aromatic complexity and intensity with a particular emphasis on citrus and floral notes. Bean Fruit is a quality-oriented small-batch roaster based in Jackson, Mississippi. The Bean Fruit motto is a Biblical quotation from Galatians 5:22-23: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Visit www.beanfruit.com or call 601-624-2605 for more information.
Who Should Drink It
A balanced structure supports a particularly sweet, graceful rendition of Yirgacheffe flowers, citrus and chocolate.
