Blind Assessment
(As brewed in a Keurig B70 Platinum single-serve brewing device using a Keurig-compatible capsule to produce a 6-ounce serving). Sweetly and briskly roast-toned. Gently scorched oak, dark chocolate, prune, freesia-like flowers in aroma and cup. Bittersweet acidity; light but buoyant mouthfeel. A hint of chocolate survives in a rich though drying finish.
Notes
Offered in a Keurig-compatible single-serve capsule incorporating the unusual feature (at this writing) of a one-way degassing valve that permits fresh packing of the roast-and-ground coffee. Established in 1989, Whidbey Coffee continues to offer fine, affordable coffee to areas north of Seattle, including sprawling, colorful Whidbey Island. Visit www.whidbeycoffee.com or call 800-575-5282 for more information.
Who Should Drink It
Excellent dark roast for Keurig owners, roasty but balanced and lively.
