Blind Assessment
(As brewed in a Keurig B70 Platinum single-serve brewing device using an “Extra Bold” K-Cup capsule containing 11 grams of coffee to produce a 6-ounce serving). Round, deep, richly earthy. Dark chocolate, wet fallen leaves, prune, deep-toned, carnal lily in aroma and cup. Round, backgrounded acidity; lightly but distinctly syrupy mouthfeel. Dark chocolate and the moist, leafy earth notes in particular carry into a rich though mildly drying finish.
Notes
This coffee is offered in an “Extra Bold” K-Cup, which packs more coffee into the capsule and produces a more forceful, intense flavor profile than regular K-Cups. Keurig/Green Mountain, formerly Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, pioneered single-serve capsule brewing in the United States with its Keurig brewing system, and remains one of the country’s leading large specialty roasters, offering a particularly wide-ranging variety of origins and roast styles. Who Should Drink It
