Blind Assessment
Deep, richly roasty, chocolate- and fruit-toned. Lightly scorched cedar, dark chocolate, musk, apricot in aroma and cup. Sweet, roast-rounded acidity; lightly plush mouthfeel. The finish is dry and roast-toned with a backgrounded chocolaty sweetness.
Notes
Produced from trees of the rare Ethiopia-derived botanical variety Gesha (also spelled Geisha). With its generally elongated beans and distinctive floral and crisp, often chocolaty cup, the Gesha variety continues to distinguish itself as one of the world’s most unique coffees. This coffee was produced on Finca Santa Barbara, named after Barbara Rogers, Vice-President of the Rogers Family Company. San Francisco Bay is one of five coffee brands produced by the family-owned Rogers Family Company. Visit www.sfbaycoffee.com or call 800-829-1300 for more information.
Who Should Drink It
An unusual opportunity to taste the celebrated Gesha profile in a very dark-roasted preparation. Think cedar-planked fruit-toned bon-bon.
