Blind Assessment
Roast-toned and floral. Singed oak, pomegranate, lavender, baker’s chocolate in aroma and cup. Quiet, juicy acidity; plump, syrupy mouthfeel. Hints of lavender and cocoa in the gently drying finish.
Notes
Produced from trees of the rare Ethiopia-derived botanical variety Gesha (also spelled Geisha). With its generally elongated beans and distinctive floral and crisp, often chocolaty cup, the Gesha variety continues to distinguish itself as one of the world’s most unique coffees. This is a wet-processed or “washed” version, meaning the fruit skin and pulp were removed from the beans immediately after harvesting and before drying. San Francisco Bay is one of five coffee brands produced by the family-owned Rogers Family Company. Visit www.sfbaycoffee.com or call 800-829-1300 for more information.
Who Should Drink It
Anyone interested in the rare opportunity to sample a very successful dark-roasted Gesha at an excellent value.
