Blind Assessment
Delicately bright, richly sweet. Tangerine zest, rhododendron, caramel, almond in aroma and cup. Juicy, balanced acidity; soft, plush mouthfeel. The clean, resonant finish is sweet though gently drying in mouthfeel, carried by tangerine notes.
Notes
Rwanda’s impressive potential as fine coffee producer has come to fruition over the past decade owing to the industry of its growers, generous support from international aid agencies, and the commitment of North American specialty coffee roasters. Produced by David Rubanzangabo and Tim Schilling and processed at the washing station they founded in 2011. Stumptown Coffee is a small-batch premium roasting company that wholesales its coffees as well as serves them in its cafes in five U.S. cities, including its latest expansion to New Orleans. Bottom Line
A gently bright, very sweet Rwanda cup, simultaneously zesty and lush.
