Blind Assessment
Intense, floral- and cocoa-toned. Honeysuckle, pineapple guava, orange zest, roasted cacao-nib, sandalwood. Deep, complexly expressed acidity; syrupy mouthfeel. The resonant finish consolidates around guava and zesty orange notes.
Notes
From the Celinga wet mill or washing station in the village of Foge in the celebrated Yirgacheffe growing region of southern Ethiopia. An unusually refined example of a dry-processed or "natural" coffee, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit has been removed, as is the case with wet-processed or "washed" coffees. Bottom Line
A big, resonant dried-in-the-fruit Yirgacheffe, brightly fruit-toned and lushly floral.
