Richly aromatic, wood-framed, bittersweet. Rhododendron, fresh mulch, dried apricot, saltwater taffy, molasses in aroma and cup. Bitter-leaning in structure; lean, silky mouthfeel. The finish is gently drying, with sweet mulch notes and vanilla-like florals.

Notes

A blend of Arabica coffees from Chiapas State, Mexico, all processed by the wet-processed or “washed” method, meaning the fruit skin and pulp were removed from the beans immediately after harvesting and before drying. Bottom Line

The bittersweet structure, dried fruit notes and vanilla-toned flowers pleasantly nudge this coffee toward a darker roast profile, even though this is a medium-roasted bean.
