Blind Assessment
Crisp, roundly and sweetly zesty. Cedar, lemon zest, blackberry, pistachio, rose-like flowers in aroma and cup. Quietly tart and very sweet-toned in structure; full and syrupy in mouthfeel. Flowers, blackberry and pistachio all carry into a resonant, sweet-savory finish.
Notes
This coffee tied for the third-highest rating in a cupping of Value Coffees for Coffee Review‘s March 2018 tasting report. Produced on Finca Libre farm by Pil Hoon Seu from trees of the respected Catuai variety of Arabica. Processed by the wet or washed method (fruit skin and pulp are removed before drying). Crescendo Coffee Roasters, founded in 2015, provides customers with well-balanced blends and single-origin coffees created by the founder, a former professional bassoonist. In 2017, Crescendo opened its first retail coffee shop in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, South Korea. Visit www.crescendocoffee.co.kr for more information.
Bottom Line
A determined sweetness and plump mouthfeel round and harmonize tart citrus and crisp cedar and nut notes.
