Brightly sweet with a savory depth. Lemon verbena, roasted cacao nib, rhododendron, date, cedar in aroma and cup. Quietly sweet-tart structure; delicate, silky mouthfeel. The finish is richly drying, consolidating around cacao nib and lemon verbena.

This coffee tied for the fifth-highest rating in a cupping of coffees from the Great Lakes region of Africa for Coffee Review’s June 2018 tasting report. Produced entirely from trees of the Bourbon variety of Arabica and processed at the Cyato Washing Station. Rwanda's potential as fine coffee producer has come to fruition over the past decade owing to the industry of its growers, support from international aid agencies, and the commitment of specialty coffee roasters. This is a wet-processed or “washed” coffee, meaning the fruit skin and pulp were removed from the beans immediately after harvesting and before drying.
