Blind Assessment
High-toned, crisply sweet-tart. Apricot, almond, maple syrup, narcissus-like flower, cedar in aroma and cup. Sweetly tart structure with bright, juicy acidity; satiny mouthfeel. Resonant, flavor-saturated finish: apricot and narcissus in the short with cedar resurfacing in the long.
Notes
Southern Ethiopia produces distinctive coffees from traditional, largely indigenous varieties of Arabica long grown in the region. This lot was processed by the wet or washed method (fruit skin and pulp are removed before drying). Big Creek Coffee Roasters is a small, quality-oriented batch roaster located in Montana’s Bitterroot Valley. Visit www.bigcreekcoffeeroasters.com or call 406-375-7508 for more information.
Bottom Line
A balanced, classic Ethiopia wet-processed cup: cocoa- and citrus-toned with sweet florals throughout.
