Blind Assessment
Crisply chocolaty, sweetly nut-toned. Almond, cocoa powder, fresh-cut fir, salted caramel, pear in aroma and cup. Gentle, round acidity; lightly satiny mouthfeel. Cocoa-toned finish with a sweet almond throughline.
Notes
A blend of three Hawaiian coffees: a Typica from Ka‘ū on the Big Island, a Red Catuai from Maui, and a Typica from O’ahu, all washed-process. Founded by David Gridley in 1993, Maui ‘Oma has both a wholesale and a retail operation. It specializes in Hawaiian coffees but also roasts coffees from other origins. Visit www.mauioma.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A quietly inviting three-island blend of Hawaiian-grown coffees, cocoa-toned and richly nutty.
