Blind Assessment
Rich-toned, sweetly tart. Baking chocolate, almond butter, black cherry, pineapple kefir, sticky rice in aroma and cup. Sweet, even-keeled acidity; plush, creamy mouthfeel. Finish centers around notes of baking chocolate and almond butter.
Notes
Produced by Francisca and Oscar Chacon of Finca Las Lajas, entirely of the SL28 variety of Arabica, and processed by the double-anaerobic method (fermented in an oxygen-free environment, then dried in the whole fruit). Lenny’s Lab is a Wisconsin-based specialty coffee roaster that wants to inspire its customers to “change one person’s life.” For more information, visit www.lennyslabcoffee.com.
Bottom Line
An enticing double-anaerobic Costa Rica with subtle lactic notes supporting baking chocolate, rich nut butter and stone fruit.
