Blind Assessment
Fruit-forward, deep-toned, enigmatic. Strawberry-guava, candied ginger, star jasmine, myrrh, lemongrass in aroma and cup. Brightly sweet-tart acidity; elegantly silky mouthfeel. Long, lingering, integrated finish.
Notes
This outstanding coffee was selected as the No. 23 coffee on Coffee Review’s list of the Top 30 Coffees of 2024. A blend of two Colombia coffees, a honey-processed Caturra co-fermented with lulo fruit by Jairo Arcila, and a natural-processed Gesha from Sebatian Gomez. Bonlife Coffee Roasters is a woman-owned specialty roaster in Cleveland, Tennessee. Visit www.bonlifecoffee.com for more information.
Bottom Line
What do you get when you cross a honey co-ferment with a natural Gesha? An extraordinary international collab between roaster and producers — this Colombia blend is exciting, dramatic, rich, complex, and above all, harmonious and integrated, and a darn good value, to boot.
