Blind Assessment
Sweetly citrusy, cocoa-toned, delicately aromatic. Cocoa nib, Meyer lemon, freesia, almond butter, apricot in aroma and cup. Bright, juicy acidity; crisp, satiny mouthfeel. Citrusy-sweet finish with undertones of cocoa nib.
Notes
Produced by the METAD farm and mill in southern Ethiopia. Southern Ethiopia produces distinctive coffees from selections of traditional landrace varieties of Arabica long grown in the region. Processed by the traditional washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Slow Burn Coffee Roasters, based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, specializes in single-origin coffee and roasts in small batches. Visit www.slowburncoffee.com.
Bottom Line
A balanced, enticing washed Ethiopia cup with sweet citrus and spice-toned floral notes throughout, supported by cocoa tones.
