Blind Assessment
Richly aromatic, deeply sweet. Wisteria, hazelnut, dark chocolate, date bar, Meyer lemon zest in aroma and cup. Sparkling (phosphoric) acidity; viscous, satiny mouthfeel. Crisp chocolate and sweet florals carry the pleasing finish.
Notes
Produced at Hacienda La Minita, from trees of the Caturra, Typica and Catuai varieties of Arabica, and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). DoubleShot Coffee Company is a specialty roaster in Tulsa, Oklahoma founded by author Brian Franklon, who’s always in search of the perfect cup. Visit www.doubleshotcoffee.com for more information.
Bottom Line
The epitome of a washed Costa Rica cup: bright, juicy, balanced, confident, inviting — look for notes of sweet citrus, delicate florals, bright chocolate and rich nut tones.
