Blind Assessment
Quietly confident, fruity and cocoa-toned. Orange creamsicle, cocoa nib, candied violet, hazelnut, lemon verbena in aroma and cup. Gently bright acidity; crisp, silky mouthfeel. Cocoa-toned finish with sweet herb and citrus undertones.
Notes
Produced by Sebastian Ramirez of Fincas El Placer, entirely of the Geisha variety of Arabica, and processed by the white honey method, in which a small amount of fruit flesh is left on the beans during the drying process. Sun Bear Specialty Coffee Roasters’ motto is “Fruit Forward, Farmer Forward, Process Forward, Passion Forward” — based in St. Petersburg, Florida. Bottom Line
As delicate as its name implies, this aromatically nuanced white honey-processed Geisha is like an orange creamsicle on a sunny day, with a side of grown-up cocoa nibs.
