Blind Assessment
Sweet, deep, fermenty. Very ripe blueberry and strawberry, minty dark chocolate, brandy, walnut in aroma and cup. Round, rich acidity; full, syrupy mouthfeel. A savory edge in the cup turns more prominent in a drying finish.
Notes
This is a dry-processed or "natural" coffee, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit has been removed, as is the case with wet-processed or "washed" coffees. Who Should Drink It
A massive, robust example of the fruity, brandyish style of Ethiopian dried-in-the-fruit coffee, with a savory weight in cup and finish complicating the usual big, blueberryish sweetness. Those coffee drinkers who know and value Ethiopian dried-in-the-fruit coffee should enjoy this hearty variant.
