Blind Assessment
Sweetly pungent, richly floral. Roasted cacao nib, spicy rose, peach and blackberry in aroma and cup. Gently bright, vivacious acidity; very silky mouthfeel. Flavor consolidates in a quietly rich though drying finish.
Notes
Yirgacheffe is a coffee region in southern Ethiopia that produces distinctively floral- and fruit-toned coffees from traditional varieties of Arabica long grown in the region. Yirgacheffe coffees like this one processed by the wet or washed method (fruit skin and pulp is removed before drying) typically express great aromatic complexity and intensity with a particular emphasis on floral notes. Spyhouse Coffee Roasting emphasizes passion through knowledge and attention to building relationships within and around the coffee community. Who Should Drink It
A particularly spicy and rich version of the great Yirgacheffe profile; sounds like the holidays to us.
