Blind Assessment
Sweet, richly complex. Honeysuckle, watermelon, strawberry, hints of pungent sandalwood and roasted cacao nib in aroma and cup. Deep, floral-toned acidity; lightly syrupy, lively mouthfeel. Flowers and a rather chocolaty cacao nib in particular carry into a resonant finish.
Notes
Yirgacheffe is a coffee region in southern Ethiopia that produces distinctively floral- and fruit-toned coffees from traditional varieties of Arabica long grown in the region. This is a dry-processed or "natural" Yirgacheffe, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit has been removed, as is the case with wet-processed or "washed" versions. Blueprint Coffee is a one-location roastery-café in St. Louis, Missouri that aims at producing a small number of flawless and distinctive coffees.
