Blind Assessment
Roundly nutty aroma, with suggestions of aromatic wood and caramel. Smooth and balanced, subtly complex. Notes of honeyed fruit, nut, cedar and orange zest. Delicate finish, with lingering hints of nut and chocolate softly lingering.
Notes
Produced using biodynamic organic methods on the Santa Terezinha ("Little St. Teresa") farm by grower Paulo Sergio Almeida. A rather dense mix of native and introduced shade trees is interplanted with the coffee trees. Santa Terezinha coffees are frequent winners in Brazil's Cup of Excellence competitions, and a Santa Terezinha lot claimed first prize in 2001. Ecco Caffe is a small, genuinely artisan specialty roaster that specializes in relatively light-roasted, ""Italian Style" espressos and select single-origin coffees. Visit
Who Should Drink It
Subtle complexity in a crisply low-acid coffee. Quiet yet full of surprises.
