Blind Assessment
Very deep-toned, balanced aroma: orangy citrus, nut, a hint of chocolate. In the cup rich, slightly wine-toned acidity, lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Sweet cocoa and nut notes richly dominate, with a hint of grapy fruit and a slight savory edge that balances the deep sweetness. Rich, savory-sweet, flavor-saturated finish.
Notes
ertified organically grown and Fair-Trade, meaning this coffee was purchased from small-holding farmers at a "fair" or economically sustainable price. It is also certified by the Smithsonian Institution as "Bird Friendly," meaning it is organically grown inside a forest-like canopy of multi-species trees. Produced by some of the 400 members of the Nubes de Oro cooperative from trees of the traditional Typica and Bourbon varieties. The sale of this coffee directly supports The Arbor Day Foundation's Rain Forest Rescue Program, an initiative that the Foundation indicates has already saved nearly two billion square feet of rain forest.
