Blind Assessment
Sweetly pungent, delicately rich. Candied pecan, cocoa, tangerine, sweet flowers in aroma and cup. Softly bright, balanced acidity; light but very plush mouthfeel. The finish is sweet, deep, and saturated with floral and cocoa suggestions.
Notes
This, only the second blend ever created by Old Soul, commemorates its 10th anniversary. It combines a classic Brazil from trees of the heirloom Yellow Bourbon variety, a Nicaragua Los Congos from the Pacamara variety, and a juicy, dried-in-the-fruit “natural” coffee from southern Ethiopia. Old Soul is a roastery, bakery and crafter of artisan goods dedicated to quality in every form. Visit www.oldsoulco.com or call 916-443-7685 for more information.
Bottom Line
Balanced, complete, with a subtle, deeply layered complexity. A versatile cup, quietly vibrant as a black coffee but authoritative with whitener.
