Blind Assessment
(As brewed in a Keurig B70 Platinum single-serve brewing device using a "K-Cup" capsule to produce a 6-ounce serving). Subtle night flowers and faint chocolate play out against a roasty backdrop in the aroma. The flowers persist and the chocolate turns sweet and caramelly in the cup. A hint of juiciness in a roast-muted acidity. Light but smooth mouthfeel. Sweet charry roastiness in the finish.
Notes
Keurig brewing devices were among the first single-serve brewers on the market, starting in the mid 1990's with office models and now available in five home models with a variety of features and price points. Barista Prima Coffeehouse is a brand of coffee roasted and sold by Green Mountain with the motto “European coffee artistry in your favorite cup.” The K-Cups in the Barista Prima collection pack more coffee into the capsule than even the “Extra Bold” K-Cup, with the intention of producing a more intense flavor profile. Keurig/Green Mountain, formerly Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, pioneered single-serve capsule brewing in the United States with its Keurig brewing system, and remains one of the country’s leading large specialty roasters, offering a particularly wide-ranging variety of origins and roast styles.
