Blind Assessment
High-toned, citrusy. Mandarin orange, cocoa nib, aged grappa, brown sugar, sandalwood in aroma and cup. Brightly sweet-tart structure with vibrant acidity; crisp, lightly satiny mouthfeel. Cocoa-toned finish with notes of mandarin orange and brown sugar.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers around the Kibingo Washing Station entirely of the Red Bourbon variety of Arabica, and processed by a version of the natural method in which the whole fruit is inoculated with cultured yeast and fermented. Founded in Savannah Georgia, PERC Coffee Roasters has a total of three cafes in Savannah and Atlanta, as well as a coffee education and training center. Visit www.perccoffee.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A juicy, citrus-driven Burundi hybrid natural with undertones of rich sandalwood and a hint of sweet ferment.
