Blind Assessment
Balanced, quietly rich: orangy citrus and pungent berry, rounded by a caramelly cocoa in aroma and cup. Gentle, complexly expressed acidity; smooth, lightly syrupy mouthfeel. The finish fades rather quickly.
Notes
One of two brand-complicating medium-roasted blends introduced in 2011 by Peet’s Coffee, hitherto famous for its commitment to a signature pungently rich, dark-roast style. This blend, described as “Lively and Aromatic” on the bag, is named for Solano Avenue, the locally famous shopping street and restaurant row where loyalists gather at one of Peet’s oldest cafés.
