Blind Assessment
Intense, sweetly complex, dramatic. Honey, jasmine, peach, mango, a crisp hint of roasted cacao nib in aroma and cup. Buoyant, lyric acidity; silky, lively mouthfeel. Flavor consolidates but rings on and on in a very long finish.

Yirgacheffe is a coffee region in southern Ethiopia that produces distinctive coffees from traditional varieties of Arabica long grown in the region. Yirgacheffe coffees like this impressive example processed by the wet or washed method (fruit skin and pulp are removed before drying on raised beds) typically express great aromatic complexity and intensity with a particular emphasis on floral notes. Like virtually all Ethiopia coffees, this coffee is produced by villagers on small, garden plots interplanted with food and other subsistence crops.
