Blind Assessment
Richly aromatic, floral- and spice-toned. Tea rose, nutmeg, pomegranate, lemon-thyme, cedar in aroma and cup. Bright, apple-like (malic) acidity; crisp, lightly satiny mouthfeel. Floral- and spice-toned finish with notes of tea rose and nutmeg.
Notes
Produced by the Bayter Family in collaboration with Nelson Martinez at Martinez’s farm, and processed by the traditional washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Located in southwestern Colorado, Durango Coffee lays claim to a rich coffee history that dates to 1986. Its motto is “Tough Town, Great Coffee.” Visit durangocoffee.com or call 800-748-2275 for more information.
Bottom Line
A deeply aromatic, floral-toned washed Colombia cup with a throughline of baking spice notes, most prominently nutmeg.
