Blind Assessment
Crisply sweet, complete. Roasted cacao nib, orangy citrus, almond butter, honeysuckle, apricot in aroma and cup. Sweetly tart, juicy acidity; lightly but distinctly syrupy mouthfeel. Cacao and flowers in particular persist in a sweet finish.
Notes
El Bado is a Cup of Excellence record holder of sorts with four consecutive top-twenty placements, a tribute to the efforts of farmer Maria Diaz, who took over operations with the help of her son after her husband passed away. Mr. Espresso is a San Francisco Bay Area wholesale roaster and espresso parts distributer that slow-roasts its coffees using traditional wood-fired roasting machines. Who Should Drink It
Fine balance in a roundly tart but very sweet profile.
