Blind Assessment
Bright, juicy-tart, chocolaty. Dark chocolate, pie cherry, hazelnut, tangerine, cedar in aroma and cup. Bright, citrusy acidity; creamy-smooth mouthfeel. Finish consolidates to notes of pie cherry and dark chocolate.
Notes
Produced by Marta Bayter and her sons, Shady and Elias, of Vergel Estate, from trees of the Caturra variety of Arabica, and processed by the traditional washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Speedwell Coffee, based in Plymouth, Massachusetts, is a wholesale and retail specialty roaster particularly dedicated to offering attractive coffee subscription plans. Bottom Line
A tart-leaning washed Colombia Caturra that gets ballast from rich chocolate notes throughout the profile, and sweet-spicy citrus zest notes complicate and invite.
