Blind Assessment
Complex, rich-toned. Watermelon candy, dried guava, pineapple taffy, cinnamon, toffee in aroma and cup. Brightly sweet, sparkling acidity; full, syrupy-smooth mouthfeel. Harmonious, very long, deep-toned finish.
Notes
Produced by Martha Montenegro and her team of women pickers at El Vergel Estate, entirely of the Red Bourbon variety of Arabica, and processed by the anaerobic natural method (fermented in an oxygen-free environment for 60 hours), then dried in the whole fruit. Torque Coffee has an unusual business model that promises 20 percent of the retail value of each coffee to its producer. Visit www.torquecoffees.com for more information.
Bottom Line
An elegant, confident, multilayered anaerobic Colombia that leads with tropical fruit and baking spice notes — exceptionally sweet.
