Blind Assessment
Richly fruit-forward, deep-toned. Black cherry, chocolate fudge, tangerine zest, amber, cedar in aroma and cup. Lively, high-toned acidity; very full, syrupy mouthfeel. Crisply sweet-tart, cherry-toned finish.
Notes
Produced by Andres Cardona of Villa Lucia, from trees of the Colombia and Castillo varieties of Arabica, and processed by the black honey method, in which the skins are removed from the fruit but virtually all of the fruit flesh is allowed to dry slowly on the beans. Founded in 1990, Roadmap CoffeeWorks, formerly Lexington Coffee Roasters, is an award-winning artisan roasting company based in Lexington, Virginia. Bottom Line
A deeply sweet black honey Colombia with a throughline of black cherry and tangerine grounded by distinct chocolate fudge notes.
