Blind Assessment
Cocoa-toned, sweet-tart. Cocoa powder, Brazil nut, lemon balm, fir, dried fig in aroma and cup. Sweet, slightly astringent acidity; crisp, silky mouthfeel. Harmonious finish consolidates to notes of cocoa powder and lemon balm.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers of the Asociación San Roque, entirely of the Caturra variety of Arabica, and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Founded in Philadelphia in 1994 by Todd Carmichael and JP Iberti, La Colombe is now owned by Chobani. Visit www.lacolombe.com for more information.
Bottom Line
An accessible, brightly crisp, gently cocoa-toned Colombia cup.
