Blind Assessment
Juicy but bittersweet, slightly savory cup. Red grape, cantaloupe, grapefruit, lavender-like flowers in quiet aroma and crisp cup. Richly round acidity. Lightly syrupy mouthfeel turns juicy as the cup cools. Citrus and floral notes linger in a dry finish.
Notes
From trees of the Caturra variety, a compact growing selection of Bourbon, this coffee was grown by Maximino Gutierrez and the adjacent farms of his brothers and sons, who collectively market their coffee under the name Finca Las Florestales. Portland Roasting emphasizes sustainable environmental and social practices throughout its business, including its "Farm Friendly Direct" sourcing program involving partnership projects with coffee producers in several origin countries.
