Blind Assessment
Fruit-toned, richly sweet-tart. Pomegranate, lemon balm, hazelnut, cocoa nib, sandalwood in aroma and cup. Crisp, juicy acidity, plush, syrupy mouthfeel. Long, resonant finish leads with notes of pomegranate and cocoa nib.
Notes
Produced by Francisco Cubillo and Oscar Chacon, entirely of the SL28 variety of Arabica, and processed by the natural aerobic method (fermented in the whole fruit in tanks with oxygen exposure), followed by two drying stages. Torque Coffee has a unique business model that promises 20 percent of the retail value of each coffee to its producer. Visit www.torquecoffees.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A balanced, tartly fruity, cocoa-toned Costa Rica cup with rich aromatic wood notes.
