Blind Assessment
Little acidity and not much at the top, but balanced and complete in the middle ranges. Rich, particularly in the nose, although the rich impression doesn't develop beyond the first impression, and tends to fade in the finish.
Notes
Balanced and complete in the middle ranges with little acidity. Rich in the nose. Decaffeinated by the European process, involving use of methylene chloride.
Who Should Drink It
Those who want some Sumatra left after the caffeine's gone. Definitely cups as a Sumatra: properly low-toned and rich. Also a clean-profiled Sumatra, completely free of signs of ferment. But given all of that, a zipped-up Sumatra, a Sumatra constrained.
