Blind Assessment
Crisply lush, juicy. Distinct lavender notes, honey, fresh-cut fir, white grape, roasted cacao nib in aroma and cup. Delicately bright, juicy acidity; lightly syrupy, lively mouthfeel. The finish is richly and deeply flavor saturated, though slightly drying in long.
Notes
From the Deri Kochoha mill in the Hagere Maryame District a little south of the famous Yirgacheffe region, where coffees from local heirloom trees are subject to classically rigorous, traditional processing and drying procedures. JBC Coffee Roasters (formerly Johnson Brothers Coffee Roasters) is a distinguished small-batch roasting company. Visit www.jbccoffeeroasters.com or call 608-256-5282 for more information.
Who Should Drink It
The particular genius of Ethiopia wet-processed coffees from the best mills and growing regions of southern Ethiopia is beautifully on display here: lavish floral sweetness grounded in crisp chocolate, bright, juicy acidity, silky mouthfeel.
