Blind Assessment
Deep-toned, chocolaty. Chocolate-covered graham cracker, almond, cedar, freesia-like flowers, lemon verbena in aroma and cup. Sweet-toned with gentle, round acidity; full, syrupy mouthfeel. Chocolaty finish with undertones of freesia and almond.
Notes
Produced by the Pacas family of Finca La Guachoca, entirely of the Orange Bourbon variety of Arabica and processed by the washed method. An integral part of New York’s coffee renaissance, Brooklyn-based Café Grumpy opened its first café in 2005 and has since expanded to 10 locations in New York, including a roasting facility, and one in Miami. Bottom Line
Richly chocolaty and spicily floral with a hint of citrus for lift, this rare Orange Bourbon is a balanced, pleasing cup.
